Folder background colour not working

Is it just me or does folder background colour not work? I open the folder from my desktop, then do long press, then settings, folder, current folder window, normal colour. I pick a new colour, hit ok, then back out with the back button to the desktop and There is no change. If I repeat this process, then I see the colour wasn't saved from last time.
