Re: Floating desktop
Floating desktop was not working for me earlier on Oreo, but recently @Pierrot had fixed it. Since then I found no issues...

Re: Floating desktop
@Pierrot my floating desktop is showing the status bar , I've set with Hide status bar.
Displaying as normal desktop is working fine without the status bar

Re: Floating desktop
I think it should depend on the activity (the app) that is displayed below. Do you mean that it can appear when the floating screen is displayed even if the app under doesn't change?

Re: Floating desktop
I'm having problems with Oreo and the floating desktop (seemingly) randomly stop watching for the swipe location, which for me is the very lower right corner of the screen.
Turning the ”show as green box” option on, the green box shows until sometime when it doesn't. Floating desktop activation works while the green box shows, but fails when it disappears; it seems somehow the process stops being active.
If I untoggle/retoggle ”show the green box” from LL settings, or use Tasker to call ”Show Floating Desktop” and then ”Hide Floating Desktop”, the green box reappears and floating desktop works again for a while.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you resolve this issue.

Re: Floating desktop
There's a discussion regarding this issue but I couldn't find it. To sum up, Oreo tends to stop apps more rapidly, and this includes the service launched by LL to handle the floating desktop. This is a "normal", but unwanted beahvior. I have no workaround yet but I'm doing experiments at the moment.

It appears there is a special notification that can be shown to keep services active (this is the notification a lot of background apps show) but there isn't any for normal apps. This can be used to keep the floating desktop though, perhaps it is worth checking.

That notification I'm talking about is https://developer.android.com/guide/com ... Foreground
