Clicking widgets doesn't work/open app

I have a couple of widgets that don't do anything when I click on them.
Some include Spotify, nearly all calender apps (except the Google widget) and KGWT.
However for certain other widgets, they seem to work as intended, but these widgets are hit or miss.
I am on a Redmi Note 8 pro, running Android 9.

Open widget settings in the design view and reconfigure them. I use all these widgets and they work perfectly.

The same problem here. Redmi Note 9 Pro + MIUI 11.0.3 + Android 10.
Sometime editing widget helps for 1 use.
I'm thinking about uninstall LL.

Go to the settings of the widget.
There you can choose what shall happen if you click the widget ...
