Copy layout into folder!

I want to copy an exact copy of a specific icon layout off the desktop into a folder and wanted the layout to remain the same within the folder... Is this possible?
Also I wondered if there is an option to scale a group of icons together (so they scale as a single item rather than a group scaling individually?..)
